My PhD is in Microbiology from North Carolina State University and I’ve led a 25+ year scientific career that has spanned from bench research to people and program management, to serving as a Science Advisor for the United States Special Operations Community (USSOCOM), to co-owning a technical consulting company and effecting culture change in a large organization.
My formal coach training includes multiple and ongoing continuing education training programs, Mayo Clinic health and wellness coach training, and working with my own coach as I keep growing.
Across my career and the years, I’ve had the privilege of being a mentor and coach to a diverse group of US Government, military and civilian professionals. I personally know, and have seen, the challenges that come with a transition from individual contributor to people manager and leader, and how to emerge as a successful leader.
I’ve been a program and people manager, team builder, mentor, leader and facilitator.
In my formal career as a coach, I work with people- they form the foundation of any great organization. My clients include high potential leaders, small business owners, new managers, State legislators, scientists and engineers, software developers, program managers, senior vice presidents, educators, finance professionals, doctors and other coaches.
